Ok kids, let's say it's Wednesday around 9:30am, you've finished breakfast and your morning play routine and you're looking for something to do. You ask mom what she thinks would be best, but she's busy tending to the new shoots coming out of the back yard garden. You gather your sibling and plot for the next super-fort design in the living room (which dad ALWAYS takes down at night - why can't he just keep it up for a few months, anyway?)...then you remember - Cool Crafts Morning at the Living Well Center!!! You grab mom and force her onto the trail, bike, or car and make your way on over.
Upon entering the lower level of the Living Well Center, you find Corey with a table and several chairs set up...what cool thing will we be making this time? A magical wand? A windmill kite? A woven stick-and-yarn sculpture (which goes particularly well with a super-fort, might I add...)? Whatever it is, comfort your folks by letting them know the crafts promote creative play once complete (they like to know these kind of things...).
So, now that you know what to do every other Wednesday morning from 10:00am-11:00am, be sure it makes it on your parents calendar. And, by the way, if you ever need any good super-fort designs, I've been at it for more than 30 years and can give you some great tips!
See you on Wednesday, July 8th!
Corey
ps- If you have trouble getting through to your folks, try taping this photo all over the house - they'll get the hint!
